I believe I first became a Monocle subscriber around 2010, when Tamara and I were living in Berlin. We still subscribe to a dozen magazines at the house, but that’s the one (including the brand’s books, seasonal newspapers, and sister magazine Konfect) that I greet with the most pleasure.
